CLASSES FOR VILLAGE STUDENTS

b. Primary School for the Tribals:

From 1999 to 2006, PSE ran a separate primary school in Hindi medium for those students who cannot pay any fees, using our own funds and $300 from VSEI, USA to meet all the expenses such as books, stationery and the honorarium of 3 teachers. However, due to paucity of funds, this could not be continued.

UnderSarva Shisha Abhiyan,Ramgarh around 450 students have been given special coaching every year since 2010 to 2018 and they have been encouraged join their parent school for main streaming. A SSA centre of 60 drop out students of the area have been enrolled in this academic session(19-20) also to improve their educational standard. The funds for these students are provided by the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan,Ramgarh.

CONCLUSION:

Patratu School Of Economics has been making great efforts to serve with maximum commitment. We have succeeded in providing literacy to some portion of these population. However we feel that in order to access more and more the poorest sections, we need more non-formal approaches which we plan to undertake and we invite Donors/Govt. Deptts We have established rapport among the target population through social/health camps, campaigned for reduction of child labour and in providing safety and qualitative education to the poorer children and liaised with the State Government for public-private cooperation in the educational sector. Till the time the poorer sections can assert their rights collectively, our NGO will actively play an advocacy role on their behalf. However, sustainable development can be said to have taken place only if people’s self-help and self-reliance can be achieved and they themselves can be the lead players. This is our vision and mission.
